Meet Tootsie—the beloved country store cat.

This image is one of my personal favourites. Tootsie was a regular greeter at the local Country Feed and Supply Store, always more interested in a good head scratch than posing for photos. I was lucky to capture this moment as she strolled confidently down the boardwalk, tail high and charm on full display. In my opinion, every store should be fortunate enough to have a delightful companion like Tootsie! Her playful motto is “Welcome! All visitors must pet the cat,” and it perfectly captures her warm and inviting spirit.

I am excited to have this as one of two prints selected for the South Simcoe Arts Council's juried exhibition "Arts on Main Show” with the theme 'Everyday Magic.' The exhibit dates: September 12 - October 6, 2025.
