The Holland Marsh

Onion Harvest

Fall is a busy time in the Holland Marsh, full of activity and movement. On a late evening, I captured the harvest of onions in this Ontario farmland. After days of drying in the sun, rows of onions are collected and placed into crates to be sent to markets across Ontario and eastern Canada. During this time in the Holland Marsh, you can smell the onions in the air!

This photo shows the farming richness and natural beauty of rural Ontario, perfect for those who love nature, farming, or scenic views.
