I pulled over for this as I was out for a drive on a summer evening in my hometown of East Gwillimbury, Ontario. I was testing a compact camera that I had acquired as a companion to my full-frame DSLR. While navigating a narrow country road, I stumbled upon a picturesque horse farm. With no room to park off the road, I quickly exited my car and captured the scene on the fly, and to my surprise, the outcome was remarkable. The optical illusion created by the multiple fences stretching into the evening light beautifully led the eye to the horizon of the distant trees. This experience reinforced the notion that the best camera is indeed the one you have with you. From now on, I will always carry this pocket-sized camera on my outings.
